I love this picture. I took it a while back on the beach in Santa Cruz, while surrounded by high kids asking “hey man, that’s cool. What ya doin? Wanna smoke with us?”.
It’s actually two spins that meshed together nicely – one towards the camera, the other perpendicular. It’s somewhat unusual in that I hung around afterwards (not to smoke dope) to capture the star trails and they turned out to be perfectly aligned with the spin angle too.
I guess that’s why it’s published in “32 great examples” (photoargus.com), “awesome long exposure” (photoity.com), and “firetrails” in lightstalking.com
This whole “using pictures found on the internet” without question, and then providing a linkback to my Flickr account to get around the Creative Commons License I publish them under is very very strange. I’ve just found a bikini picture of mine on over 120 sites. I’ll write about that later I think
Come on, talk to us!
